The department of bioinformatics actively contribute to research, academics and developmental activities of SOLS. It is engaged in training, education and offers data analysis to the community needs in the field of human health. It also provides the atmosphere and opportunities for students and researchers to take up career in bioinformatics. The department has state-of-the-art laboratories, teaching facilities and qualified teachers. Department develops computational programs and has access to sophisticated software for high throughput data analysis and storage facilities. The core area of research include: NGS assembly and annotations, microarray data analysis, mass spectrometry data analysis, systems biology and protein networks, cloud computing and data analytics.
