Department of Audiology and SLP at KMC, Mangalore offers undergraduate, post graduate and PhD programs and actively involves in the research activities right from the inception of the department. It has state of art equipments/infrastructure for both clinical and research facilities in the field of Audiology, speech disorders, language disorders and swallowing pathologies. Our department is the recipient of many research grants from Department of Science and Technology (DST), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), NCERT and Ablenet research grants. Undergraduate students, post graduate students, and Research scholars are actively involved in the research activities. BASLP students are trained from their third year onwards to pursue short term research projects and present in conference in national forums. Our students also bag best paper awards for their scientific presentations in many national conferences. We had carried out many inter departmental and inter-institutional research projects at the university level and published in many national and international indexed journals. Now we are focusing on the tie-up with international universities and enhance the research activities of the department.
