The Department of Cardiovascular Technology of SOAHS, established in 2008, specializes in allied health professional which support cardiology sector of Kasturba hospital, Manipal. The prime aim of our department research is to produce competent approach with acquired skills in identifying cardiovascular disease in cardiac patients. The department involves in primary and secondary data analysis to develop clinical evidences. Our department actively participate in research in association with department of cardiology, KMC Manipal and other constituent institutions of MAHE. Various departmental (h-index) and journal matrices (IF) demonstrates our scholarly influence. The department publishes manuscripts in several prominent journals. Department is extensively involved in research related to fetal echocardiography, acquired heart diseases, speckle tracking echocardiography, Tissue Doppler imaging etc. The department also yields adequate research source from cardiac catheterization and intervention procedures with its short/long term outcomes.
