The Department provides instruction and clinical experience in etiology, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases of the periodontium in adults. The main objective is to teach dental students the diagnosis treatment and prevention of periodontal diseases. Students are trained to recognise and treat periodontal diseases at all stages of severity and in combination with other phases of dental care. The department boasts of the state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical equipment.
