The School of Management (SOM), was established in 1999 previously named as Manipal Institute of Management.  It has been educating and training competent, socially responsible and ethically-oriented management postgraduates,  meeting the needs of the management profession.

 In SOM, we have been periodically revising and updating our curriculum so that our students’ knowledge and skills are industry relevant.  Continuous improvement in teaching and learning has enhanced our course contents and pedagogy.

 We have  deployed digital technologies such as EduNXT Learning Management System, business analytics, simulations, research databases, e-Books,   e-Pad exams and wi-fi enabled campus.

 The School draws its  strength  from its team of dedicated and experienced  faculty members and guest lecturers.  Many of them bring along rich and varied industry experience, and have been engaged in cutting edge   research projects.

 The School is a member of the All India Management Association (AIMA)  and the  Association of Management Development Institutes of South Asia (AMDISA).

 Key features of our MBA programs are:

·         Choice based credit system (CBCS) is incorporated.

·         Semester scheme is followed

·         More than 50% of our faculty members have doctoral or post-doctoral qualifications.

·         Student managed activity clubs encourage co and extra-curricular activities.

·         6 research centres create and disseminate new knowledge.

·         e-Pads are used for writing exams.

·         Our syllabi are benchmarked to that of world class Universities

·         20% of our lectures are conducted by senior managers and leading scholars
