Dr. Anupa Lewis is an Associate Professor at Manipal Institute of Communication, MAHE - Manipal. Encompassing the broad and interdisciplinary arena of media, literature, and communication studies, her academic engagements integrate teaching, research, and institutional collaboration. With over a decade of experience, she has designed curricula, steered capacity-building workshops, and engaged with international conferences that explore the evolving contours of contemporary scholarship.
Creative Works
On the creative front, extending beyond the precincts of conventional academia, Dr. Anupa Lewis is a published poet, story-teller, and visual artist. Her flash fiction is included in volume one of the Bath Flash Fiction anthology titled – To Carry Her Home, printed by Ad Hoc Fiction (2018), UK. Her poetry and artwork are included in the journal – Gitanjali & Beyond (2021 & 2022 edition), published by the Scottish Centre of Tagore Studies (ScoTs), Edinburgh Napier University.

Research forays: Literary Anthropology, Speculative Fiction, Geofeminism, Ecocriticism, Folkloristics, Aesthetics, Media Semiotics, Rhetoric and Narratology.
