Our lab works on microbial pathogenesis, focusing on bacterial proteases and toxins, the therapeutic potential of bacterial products and pigments, host–microbe interactions, immune evasion, oral cancer and microbial dysbiosis and delayed wound healing. Our research combines fundamental microbiology with translational applications, addressing multidrug-resistant pathogens, oral cancer, and hyperpigmentation. Our team published in high-impact journals such as Laboratory Investigation and ACS Infectious Diseases, and holds multiple patents on biosensing platforms, antimicrobial strategies, and nanoemulgel formulations.
