Dr. Edlin Mathias is an Evidence Synthesis Researcher and Pediatric Nurse with expertise in quantitative research. With over ten years of experience in research and teaching, her primary research interests focus on pain management and child and adolescent health. In her doctoral studies, she specialized in pain management among children. She is a Cochrane member and currently serves as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Evidence-informed Decision-making (Formerly known as Public Health Evidence South Asia) at the Prasanna School of Public Health (PSPH), MAHE, Manipal.
In her role at the Centre, she leads a range of evidence synthesis projects and provides training to faculty, researchers, doctoral scholars, postgraduate students, and interns, both within MAHE and at other institutions. Her work is dedicated to building capacity in evidence synthesis methodologies, including systematic reviews, overviews of systematic reviews, scoping reviews, rapid reviews, and mixed-method reviews. Through these initiatives, she empowers researchers to produce high-quality evidence that informs healthcare decision-making and contributes to advancing clinical and public health research. She is actively engaged in providing consultancy for evidence synthesis projects and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to design and build impactful research initiatives.
