He is recipient of the Team Finland knowledge grant by Finnish National Agency for Education with Tampere University, Finland (2023).
Furthermore, Dr Sumit was appointed as Honorary Lecturer, School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition, University of Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom in Janaury 2024.
