Being instrumental in the establishment of MCES, she has been responsible for the growth and development of the Centre since its inception to present day when it is recognized as a Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence, the first one in the country. A leader who believed in her team and chased dreams of making the most of opportunities, she has been successful in getting grants worth 1.5 million euros in the last ten years for various projects. She established Centre for Foreign Languages and Dvaita Philosophy Resource Centre which have now grown to become Department of Languages and Department of Philosophy respectively. She also started a Centre Intercultural Studies and Dialogue which regularly conducts summer and winter schools for young Europeans in India. She led a Jean Monnet Module from 2014-17 and led a Jean Monnet project from 2015-17 on Bologna Process and Internationalization of Higher Education. She was awarded with a Jean Monnet Chair in 2017 and a Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in 2018. She is also a Principal Investigator of a Capacity Building in Higher Education project on Content and Language Integrated Learning of over half a million Euros. She is instrumental in developing many international partnerships which she has fondly developed into an area of research for herself and youngsters around her. She has is a consultant to other universities on internationalization of higher education and has also co-edited a book on Internationalization of Higher Education: The Dynamics of Educational Ecology. She is also the Secretary of Association of European Studies in India. Apart from these, she developed Manipal Universal Press (MUP) under the guidance of Vice Chancellor which has brought out over 150 publications.

Responsibilities included mainly teaching and research. Taught courses like communication research, communication theories, corporate communication, risk communication and advertising. Guided several masters' students on their dissertations. Looked after students' cultural activities, placements and their overall development. Developed a program Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Communication. Established Centre for Media and Marketing Communication Research ( MMCR) and directed it. Organized a national conference, an international conference and also an international symposium. Developed international linkages for the institute leading to student and faculty exchange programs. Visited Hochschule Bremen University of Applied Sciences, Germany with DAAD funding, worked on a research project in disaster management communication systems.

Narsee Monjee Institute of Management and Higher Studies (NMIMS University)
Responsibilities mainly involved teaching business communication to the students of management and preparing them on intercultural communication competencies. Also looked after student participation in various national and international business plan competitions and others and ensured scaling up of student performance in general. Was a part of the institute's branding committee and actively involved in conducting the stakeholder perception audit for the institute.
01/01/1997–01/04/2006 Started a career as a journalist in 1997 with a leading daily in Karnataka and moved to academics
teaching part-time and pursuing research during this period. She worked at the Department of
Journalism and Mass Communication on a UGC project management as a project fellow and as a
part-time teacher before taking similar part-time position at Mahajana’s First Grade College, Mysore
.
