I have over fourteen years of experience in higher education as an Associate Professor at the Manipal Academy of Higher Education, along with three years in the printing and advertising industry. I have been recognized for my contributions to tobacco control and interdisciplinary research through several prestigious fellowships and roles. I served as a Research Fellow under the GCRF Tobacco Control Capacity Programme at the University of Edinburgh, UK, and as a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Bath, UK. I am also an Honorary Research Associate at the Institute of Public Health, Bengaluru. My work has been acknowledged through invitations to government consultations, including the State-level program to develop mechanisms for mitigating tobacco industry interference in Karnataka, and as a trainer for law enforcement officers on tobacco control enforcement — reflecting both academic recognition and policy-level impact.
