Presently working as an Additional Professor in the Manipal School of Commerce and Economics, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, and serving as the Coordinator for International Collaboration and Affairs. In this capacity, I oversee international academic partnerships, faculty and student exchange programs, and collaborative research initiatives with universities across Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Africa and Australia.
Professional Information – Consultancy
In addition to academic and research responsibilities, I have actively engaged in consultancy projects that bridge academia with industry and public sector organizations. My consultancy experience includes preparing an Impact Assessment Report for the Konkan Railway Project on the Establishment and Operation of the Mechatronics Training Centre at RHSDC, Udupi, which evaluated the project’s effectiveness in skill development and regional employment enhancement. I also conducted a comprehensive study for Yenopoya Hospital, titled “Reinventing Organization Structure and Process Flow – A Network Report on Job Description,” aimed at improving organizational efficiency, defining key performance roles, and streamlining operational processes. Additionally, I carried out a Customer Satisfaction Survey for SUEZ Projects Pvt. Ltd. on the Implementation of the 24x7 Water Supply System in the City of Mangalore, assessing consumer perception, service quality, and overall satisfaction with the newly implemented water distribution model. These consultancy assignments have strengthened my expertise in applied research, organizational analysis, and impact evaluation, contributing to evidence-based decision-making and sustainable institutional development.
Professional Information – Convener

I have served as the Convener for several prestigious international and national conferences, contributing to the advancement of interdisciplinary research and global academic collaboration. Notable among these are the Green Economy and Sustainable Growth through Strategic Change (2024, Dubai), Opportunities and Challenges in Business Management (2020, Dubai), and Crafting Foundations for Sustainable and Inclusive Development (2019, Dubai), all of which brought together academicians, researchers, and industry experts from across the world to deliberate on emerging business and sustainability challenges. Earlier, I convened significant national conferences including Management of Change: Issues and Development Perspective (2015, India), Healthcare Market and Emerging Consumers (2010, India), and Urban Infrastructure and Quality of Life (2004, India). Through these initiatives, I have consistently promoted international dialogue, research networking, and the dissemination of innovative ideas in management, sustainability, and socio-economic development.
I was honored with the Best Paper Award for my research titled “Prospects of Sustainable and Pro-Environmental Transportation: An Empirical Investigation” at the 7th International Conference on Green Economy and Sustainable Growth held at MAHE Dubai in February 2024. This recognition underscores the significance and impact of my work in promoting sustainable transportation solutions and advancing research on environmentally responsible practices in the context of business and society.

Creative Works

I have successfully facilitated one-semester student exchange programs with several prestigious international universities, including Utrecht University, Netherlands; University of Stavanger, Norway; Umeå University, Sweden; and Rennes School of Business, France, where all participating students received full tuition waivers. These initiatives have provided students with valuable global exposure, cross-cultural learning, and academic collaboration opportunities. Additionally, I organized a One-Day International Conference on the theme “Sustainable Development Goals in Action – Empowering Solutions for a Sustainable World” scheduled for 26th June 2025 at the MSNIM campus, in collaboration with IMTI University, Malaysia bringing together scholars, industry professionals, and policymakers to explore actionable strategies for sustainable development and global impact.

Research interests

My research interests centre on the intersection of psychology, marketing, and consumer behaviour. Specifically, I am fascinated by how psychological constructs—such as motivation, attitude formation, emotional responses, and social influence—shape consumer decision-making in modern markets.

I am also interested in how digital marketing, branding strategies, and persuasive communication techniques affect consumer trust, brand attachment, and purchase intention. My goal is to contribute to a deeper understanding of the psychological mechanisms underlying marketing effectiveness and to develop insights that can support ethical and sustainable marketing practices.

Experience

With over 25 years of experience as a faculty member and researcher, I have contributed extensively to teaching, research, and academic leadership. Throughout my career, I have guided hundreds of postgraduate and doctoral students, conducted impactful consultancy projects, organized and convened international and national conferences, and facilitated student exchange programs with leading global universities.
