Post-Doctoral Research Associate, since April 2008 till January 2012 with Prof. S.A. Shivashankar, Materials Research Centre, and Centre for Nano Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Expertise includes super-fast (few minutes) synthesis of magnetic and optical semiconducting nanoparticles by solution chemistry.

• CRS Bronze medal: Received Bronze medal from the Chirantan Rasayan Sanstha (CRS), West Bengal in recognition of the scientific contributions.
• Research Excellence award 2023: Award from MAHE, Manipal for maximum patents granted in a single year 2023
