Abstract

In the title compound, C₁₁H₇ClO₃, the coumarin system is planar and makes a dihedral angle of 6.6(1)° with the acetyl group. The crystal structure is stabilized by C - H⋯O hydrogen bonds and aromatic π-π interactions.
