Abstract

A compact hept-band slot antenna for multiband wireless application is presented. The antenna consists of a flower-shaped slot in the radiating circular patch and a rectangular slot at the ground plane. The antenna has a dimension of 0.25λL× 0.25λL× 0.01λLat the lower band of 2.56 GHz. The proposed configuration operates at 2.56, 4.54, 5.41, 7.12, 7.75, 8.08 and 9.64 GHz with S11<-10dB bandwidth of about 70 MHz (2.53-2.60 GHz), 30 MHz (4.52-4.55 GHz), 40 MHz (5.39-5.43 GHz), 140 MHz (7.05-7.19 GHz), 530 MHz (7.59-8.22 GHz) and 170 MHz (9.55-9.72 GHz). The entire simulation of the antenna is carried out on HFSS v.13.0 simulator using FEM method.
