A Compact, Printed Radiator for Aerospace and Telecommunication

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

This article presents a compact antenna for aerospace and microwave communication. Its frequency range spans 6.6–18.7 GHz and boasts high efficiency with 95.6% impedance bandwidth. The design consists of a rectangular patch and two circular elements, connected by strip lines. It measures .31λx.40λx0.033λ in wavelength. Stable polar patterns and efficient performance, with broad gain of 2.7 dBi and efficiency of 86%, make the antenna ideal for X-band and Ku-band communication in the aerospace sector.
