Abstract
Research on the concept of distributed generation (DG) installation has been primarily driven by the quickly dwindling fossil fuels, the substantial environmental repercussions and Utilities are having severe issues with their power systems as a consequence of the ongoing increase in demand of electricity and the inadequate investment in electrical distribution networks. Distributed generation (DG) is one of the alternative for mitigating load growth, line overloading, and reliability with respect to of equipment maintenance interval exhaustion and line losses. Based on the ideal distribution of DGs, power system analyst and engineer describe their attempts to address the issues with power loss, energy losses, stability of voltage, and voltage characteristics in the distribution system. The present investigation conducts an extensive review of the analytical, numerical, meta-heuristic and hybrid methodologies for distributed generation (DG) placement in order to provide utility engineers the most appropriate information for future progress in this field of work.
