A Low Complexity Landslide Susceptibility Mapping Model of Chikmagalur, Karnataka, India

Abstract

In order to create a landslip susceptibility map (LSM) for the district of Chikmagalur in the state of Karnataka, South India, this article offers an artificial neural network (ANN) model. The following landslide conditioning factors (LCF) were taken into account during the development, testing, validation, and training of the LSM: elevation, slope, aspect, curvature, stream power index (SPI), rainfall, normalized differential vegetation index (NDVI), lithology and land use and cover. Following creation, the LSM is tested using landslide and non-landslide sites and the ANN model that is suggested produces an accuracy of 86%.
