    Abstract

Oscilloscopes play a vital role in observing and assessing the characteristics of electrical signals. This paper outlines the development of an affordable and portable oscilloscope using an ESP32 micro-controller unit (MCU) and a high-speed analog-to-digital converter (ADC) module, aiming to find a balance between cost and functionality. It also discusses about the creation of firmware, optimization techniques and hardware design. The goal is to offer a cost-effective way to analyze electrical signals, including efficient data collection and signal conditioning. Rigorous testing was conducted to assess its accuracy and performance. Opting for a modular design over offthe-shelf boards allows for easier upgrades and customization, making it versatile for electronics research and prototyping.
