A patch antenna suitable for satellite applications

Abstract

In the proposed paper, a microstrip patch antenna is studied with single band features for usage in applications within the low satellite frequency. Suggested Antenna involves a rectangular radiation patch and ground plane of antenna is abridged at its corners. The antenna impedance bandwidth ranges after 7.22 to 9.03GHz range.The recommended antenna is of close size 36mm × 34mm × 1.6mm. VSWR < 2 for entire carrying out frequency spectrum range is achieved along with good antenna efficiency.
