Abstract

Natural fibre is an outstanding renewable resource for making composite materials for lightweight applications. However, the major disadvantage of natural fibre as reinforcement material in composites is their hydrophilic nature which decreases the strength of the material. This disadvantage can be overcomed by using natural hybrid composites which uses two or more natural fibres to prepare the composite lamination. In this work the review has been made in order to find the suitable natural fibres and also to find the fabrication process to prepare the composite lamination. This review also discussed about the mechanical properties and the thermal properties obtained by investigation of various fibre combinations.
