Abstract
The study of fingerprints is known as 'Dactylography'. It is one of the best comparative techniques of identification in human beings. As fingerprints are individualistic in nature and even twins having different patterns of fingerprints, their utility in the field of forensic investigation is abundant. Various researches are underway in the field of making fingerprints more and more reliable tool of identification. Various features of humans are being compared and correlated with fingerprints to establish new facts. Here is an attempt made by us to compare the fingerprints patterns with the blood groups of the individuals in South India.
