With die passage of time world wide web lias become clogged up with various information making extraction of vital information arduous and cumbersome. Web mining is a branch of data mining which deals with searching, extracting and filtering useful data stored in web server databases and logs. This study is a detailed study of various techniques involved in mining web data on die basis of its application. The study describes various tools involved in web mining and is concluded with challenges faced, future aspects and applications.
