Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing traditional business models in the hospitality and tourism industry by providing new chances to improve efficiency, increase customer personalization services, and innovate service delivery. The chapter also touches upon the vast use cases of AI in different verticals like the hospitality and tourism sector; however AI also brings about major hurdles. There are ethical concerns related to partiality in AI algorithms, the openness of AI decision-making procedures, and the responsibility of automatic systems. Another concern is data privacy, as large amounts of personal information would be needed to train AI systems. In addition, it is essential to note that investing in this infrastructure and its maintenance requires many funds, which may prove hard for many businesses, especially those that belong to smaller organizations operating within the tourism and hospitality industry.
