Abstract

Agriculture gives employment to a significant part of Indian society, yet its technological growth has stagnated. Even today, crops are still devastated by diseases as farmers are not entirely aware of preventing them and do not have effective ways of predicting when and how to avoid them. Therefore, this method has been illustrated by using various technologies. The system will consist of a soil moisture sensor, soil temperature sensor, air temperature sensor and a humidity sensor with a simple microcontroller to monitor four parameters: Air temperature, Soil temperature, Humidity and Soil Moisture. These parameters will help in monitoring the plant's vital conditions and would help us know whether the plant is affected or not. Once the infected plant is identified, its location will be conveyed to the farmer via an app/ user interface. This system will help the farmers increase their efficiency and productivity and reduce crop wastage, increasing their income.
