Abstract
In this paper, the current harmonics at the source was analyzed and measured for various domestic and industrial loads like LED lighting, Switched Mode Power Supply (SMPS), Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) etc. Using an oscilloscope, current waveforms of various loads were captured and using a power quality analyzer, the total harmonic distortion was measured. To visualize the magnitudes of each harmonic component, both FFT and power spectrum graph was used. A few typical characteristics of these loads were observed.
