Abstract
Tibial spine avulsion fracture is not an uncommon injury and a displaced fracture can lead to malunion or nonunion resulting in pain, flexion deformity, and instability. Various fixation methods are described in the literature. The purpose of this article is to describe the fixation of tibial spine avulsion by a simple technique using inexpensive intravenous cannula needle and high-strength nonabsorbable suture, which allows accurate reduction and rigid fixation of fracture.
