N2 - The current Public Distribution System (PDS) has a high level of corruption, including faulty food grain measurement, lengthy line waits, theft of ration in ration stores, and fraud supply of the food grains among other things. The Automated Vending machine prototype provides a completely automated methodology to give great transparency at all phases of PDS as a solution to the issues associated with the current PDS. Each consumer in this system receives an Aadhar or Ration smartcard authentication, which must be used in combination with a fingerprint to be authenticated. The prototype system combines QR code scanning, fingerprint authentication, and micro controller technology to automate the Public Distribution System (PDS). When a user's identity is verified through their QR code and fingerprint, the microcontroller oversees the operation of motors and valves. This system ensures that the correct amountof food grains is automatically dispensed through the vending machine. The complete procedure guarantees successful functioning and the efficient operation of the PDS.
