N2 - Behcet’s disease is an autoinflammatory systemic vasculitis of unknown etiology characterized by recurrent mucocutaneous manifestations, including recurrent aphthous ulcers, genital ulcerations, and uveitis (Barros et al. in Yale J Biol Med 94(4):585–592, 2021). This study explores multidisciplinary approach for managing a case of Behçet’s disease (BD) during pregnancy in a multiparous woman with no previous manifestations in earlier pregnancy and successful maternal and neonatal outcomes (Demir and Demir in Bezmialem Sci 13(1):81–83, https://doi.org/10.14235/bas.galenos.2024.81904, 2025). Studies suggest that the majority of women experience remission during pregnancy but rarely experience exacerbation of symptoms, as in this case. The discussion emphasized symptomatology and the need for early diagnosis and timely intervention for good maternal and fetal outcomes. This study highlights the importance of disease activity control, prevention of thrombotic events, and regular monitoring of both maternal and fetal health to prevent complications during pregnancy, which include but are not limited to fetal growth retardation, direct placental involvement, and transient neonatal Behçet’s disease. The risks of thrombosis, miscarriage, preterm birth, and precautionary measures have been described. The main focus of this report has been to overcome these potential risks, resulting in favorable outcomes.
