Abstract
The antihepatotoxic activity of ethanol extract fractions of Thespesia populnea administered orally to groups of rats was evaluated using the CCl4 model of liver injury. All fractions showed significant activity. A rare flavanoid, quercetin-7-O-rhamnoglucoside, was isolated from this plant and its identity confirmed by spectral studies. © 1995 Informa UK Ltd All rights reserved: reproduction in whole or part not permitted.
