Abstract

This paper discusses a modulation scheme based by incorporating the data with the subtle changes in the variation of light intensity for Visible Light Communication (VLC) systems. A modulation scheme named Colour Light Intensity Modulation is proposed on the concept of colour spaces of light where the data can be modulated on the subtle changes in the light signals and transmitted. Firstly, the input data is mapped with the intensities of Light Emitting Diodes and transmitted. The received information is demapped to obtain the estimate of the sent message. The simulation results obtained shows that the proposed concept can be used in the development of more efficient VLC systems.
