N2 - The primary objective of developing a composite is to enhance the mechanical and tribological properties of a material. Since increase in the weight percentage of reinforcement is not always desirable, it becomes necessary to select the optimum value of weight percentage of the reinforcement for best results. Current work aims to employ Multi criteria decision making (MCDM) techniques like WASPAS, EDAS and MOORA to rank the five samples of Aluminium Metal Matrix Composites (AMMCs) developed by varying the weight percentages of Coconut Shell Ash (CSA). Properties like density, tensile strength, hardness, toughness, coefficient of friction and wear rate are considered in this study to rank the five samples. Criteria weights is calculated using Entropy method. All the MCDM techniques suggest that 15% CSA+Al composite is the most desirable alternatives among the five samples. Correlation analysis revealed 100% correlation between EDAS and MOORA and WASPAS MCDM techniques used.
