abstract = "Design of LED driver is very critical in lighting industry. They protect the LED from voltage and current fluctuations. In the present work a simulation based study was carried out to obtain a mathematical model and a steady state model of a Cuk converter using MATLAB R2018A. A mathematical model was developed to study the transient and steady state voltage and current characteristics. A closed loop control of the Cuk converter was also developed to provide constant voltage at the output irrespective of the variation in the output parameters. A PI controller with appropriate tuning of Kp and Ki was developed to provide PWM pulses to switches based on the output voltage variation.",
