Abstract

Workplace accidents are major contributors to morbidity and mortality worldwide. Faulty machinery, outdated infrastructure or carelessness of workers are the main etiological factors. Herein we present a case where a workman died on the spot due to fall of a heavy metallic slab over him. Proper education of workers regarding use of machines, necessary precautions to be undertaken during work, and installation of safety measures at workplace are stressed.
