Abstract
Unhealthy habits and changing workplace conditions are putting stress on healthcare and fitness infrastructures and global health. Since biosensors and wearable technologies have advanced rapidly, textile-based biosensors have become popular. Wearable textile biosensors are vital for health monitoring. They are important to motion detection, medical management, and health monitoring. Interactive textiles incorporating electrical devices and algorithms capture, process, and digitize human body motion data in real time. This approach can be used for electrotherapy, vascular enhancement, and wound rehabilitation. This chapter discusses the pros and cons of textile-integrated wearable sensor technology. The article covers all aspects of developing, choosing, and integrating sensors into wearable systems. Sensor modalities are also thoroughly investigated. Data analysis and signal processing are essential for biomedical data collection and real-time monitoring.
