Design and Implementation of an Energy-Efficient Instant Water Heating System

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

In today's energy-conscious world, conserving electricity and water is essential. Many homes now use solar water heaters as a sustainable alternative to electric heaters. However, a major drawback is that cold water in the pipes must be flushed out each morning before hot water arrives, leading to considerable wastage. To overcome this, an instant water heating system is installed near the tap. It activates automatically when cold water is detected and shuts off once hot water from the solar unit reaches the outlet, saving both water and energy.
