Design of Frequency Reconfigurable Antenna for Multiple Applications

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

    Abstract

A frequency reconfigurable antenna is designed for multiple applications is in this paper. The antenna can cover frequency range from 2.2GHz to 8.80GHz. The structure is made up of two-stub circular radiator and made on ROGERS 588LZ substrate having a thickness of 0.250 mm. The techniques are used to obtain suitable bandwidth is stub loading and slot etching. With the help of three PIN diodes the frequency reconfigurability is obtained. Simulation is done by using CST software which show a convincing result and the antenna work in multiple bands, like (2.2 GHz- 3.1 GHz), GPS, L - band (1.8 GHz - 2.4 GHz), Wi-Max- (3.4 GHz - 4.2GHz), Wi-Fi (5.2GHz - 7.8 GHz), 5G (3.8 GHz - 4.2 GHz and 5.20 GHz -7.8GHz), C-band (4.9GHz - 8.8 GHz). The dimension of the antenna is 35× 25 mm2, which is suitable for various modern applications.
