Abstract
The business environment is increasingly facing disruptive events in their supply chains. As a result, organizations are implementing innovative disruption management strategies while utilizing cutting-edge digital technologies. However, the research examining disruption management in the context of process industries is scarce. This chapter aims to investigate the supply chain of an Indian steel manufacturing organization through a case study method. The study identifies the disruption risks, disruption management strategies, existing utilization of digital technology, and potential usage of digital technologies. The results extend the theory of disruption management by highlighting the disruptions and their impacts. Additionally, the study encourages the implementation of digital technologies by demonstrating their potential in the disruption management domain.
