N2 - Liquid level sensors have a wide usage in industrial process for a variety of application. To meet the requirements of varying process, level sensors are available with diversifying types and design. This paper presents a detailed review of existing liquid level measurement techniques. Objectives of the work is to analyse the existing liquid level measurement techniques for different characteristics like sensitivity, range, time response and cost. Influence of external parameter like liquid type, liquid density, temperature, tank dimensions and humidity on the output of the instrument is analysed to obtain the relation of the same.
