Abstract

A study was undertaken to determine whether complexing of copper to enfenamic acid modifies the wound healing suppressant effect of enfenamic acid (En). The study was carried out in male albino rats. Incision and dead space wound models were used in this study. Results show that Cu-enfenamic (Cu-En) acid didn't suppress the gain in breaking strength of 10 day old incision and dead space wound; but both enfenamic acid and Cu-En acid suppressed granulation, the Cu-En was more potent than En.
