It frequently used filler material for fabricating multifaceted composites particularly in case of metal matrix composite as graphene has unique optical as well as thermal properties, in last few years, relatively less importance is given reinforced based on graphene metal matrix composite in comparison of polymers and ceramics. Graphene (Gr) and its derivatives like graphene oxide (GO), reduced graphene oxide (RGO), nanographene (GNPs), etc. reinforced metal matrix composites (MMC) those having great mechanical and functional properties are used aerospace, automobiles, electronics, and Graphene is having extraordinary mechanical properties, that makes it theoretically a suitable, reinforced material for metal military fields. This review article mainly focuses on overview of the effect of addition of graphene on Al based metal matrix composite and fabrication techniques. Effect of addition of graphene in different metals like Mg, Cu, Ni etc. is also discussed. This paper explained some hybrid composites and their fabrication method along with their application in different fields. This paper also focuses on changes occurs in mechanical properties and application of metal matrix with addition of graphene in comparison of base metal.
