Abstract

The rapid progress on network and storage technologies leads to huge amount of data, such as web page and XML data. As there is ever growing of semi structured data over web, there is a need of effective keyword search in order to fetch correct result. searching for information over XML database is done by constructing the query containing the keywords to be searched. The user may not aware of what exact keyword looking for, our proposed system takes partial data from user to generate exact keyword existing in the database. Trie structure is used to support the Auto completion feature. In this paper, first is to create indexing using Lucene Indexer for a given XML database, second is to search for keyword and to rank the search result, the Document ranker is used. This paper discusses a new indexing method to perform better searching so as those relevant results are retrieved.
