N2 - The commercial building sector is one of the major energy consuming sector in an economy. Building sector of India is consuming nearly 40% of energy, which is expected to increase up to 76% by 2040. Building energy modelling is thus essential in order to find the major energy consuming sections of any building and based on the same, energy conservation measures or building load reduction strategies can be adopted in order to reduce the building's energy consumption. In this paper, a building located in New Delhi, India is considered and modelled in building energy simulating software called eQUEST 3.65. This paper details the energy modelling in eQUEST. Energy efficiency o f t he building is also analyzed followed by suggesting strategies that would result in further energy savings. The suggested strategies are also modelled in eQUEST and the expected energy savings are obtained. Energy savings and Energy Performance Index (EPI) are considered as the performance indicators in this paper.
