Abstract

The Hospitals are the organizations, built up for dealing with human prosperity which typically works 24 hours a day and all year around. Artificial lighting accounts for a considerable amount on energy consumption. When planning for energy efficient lighting, lux level requirement should never be trade off, while limiting the lighting burden and energy consumption. The paper proposes energy efficient lighting solutions for a hospital building in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It incorporates comprehension of different areas and room geometries by going to the proposed site and furthermore different lighting parameters to be met in the hospital segment and giving viable and productive LED based lighting framework. A recreation programming tool DIALux has been utilized to examine the proficient lighting plan for meeting the necessity as per the standards by utilization of LED luminaires to limit the energy cost. Energy efficient lighting arrangements decrease the energy utilization as well as help in diminishing the carbon impression.
