    Abstract

The kinetics of intrasubband energy relaxation of electrons in quantum wells in a quantizing magnetic field is studied when electrons are excited to the Landau level lying below the optical phonon energy. Quite different relaxation scenarios of the interlevel kinetics were revealed and discussed. The type of observed scenario is determined by the interplay of electron-electron scattering and electron-phonon interaction as well as by the initial electron concentration in the system.
