Abstract

A key role of most forensic pathologists is the examination of a dead body, frequently known as an autopsy. Forensic pathologists play a significant role in cases of suspicious and nonsuspicious deaths. In cases of sudden deaths, they establish the exact cause of death, while in criminal cases, their opinion is vital to the delivery of justice. In view of the importance of forensic pathology as a speciality, its development is essential in modern society. Association of forensic medicine and pathology with issues of public health, occupational health, and community health needs to be addressed and emphasized on.
