N2 - Suppositories of nimesulide were formulated using cocoa butter and different polyethylene glycol (PEG) bases. PEG base suppositories showed a better permeation of drug with faster dissolution rate in vitro than cocoa butter base suppositories. The results of in vivo antiinflammatory activity of nimesulide suppositories in Wistar rats showed that suppositories of cocoa butter base exhibited better antiinflammatory activity than PEG bases.
