N2 - This paper describes the architecture of the Parikshit Student Satellite Ground Station, along with the components used for its implementation. It shows the design considerations and implementation of a robust signal conditioning scheme within a weatherproof enclosure box for receiver end RF systems operating in Very High Frequency (VHF) and Ultra High Frequency (UHF) bands. The signal conditioning system can be used in satellite ground stations and amateur radio stations, with little, to almost no maintenance. It allows both uplink and downlink operation in the VHF band and downlink operation only in the UHF band. This paper also describes the design of a point of load (POL) power supply unit which is placed inside the enclosure box to supply regulated and filtered DC voltages to the active devices as a measure against the cable voltage drop and the interference in the power supply line.
