Abstract
In the current work a hexagon shaped graphene antenna is designed. The dimensions of antenna are 60 × 64 × 1.8 μm3. The radiating patch is fed with CPW feedline. HFSS 11.1 tool is used to design and analyze return loss, polar plots and radiation patterns of designed antenna. The original design gives a single band response at 2.6 THz. A modified antenna design is also presented which resonates for dual bands in the terahertz regime from 2.1 - 2.8 THz and upper band from 3.7-4.85 THz, which makes it appropriate for applications like medical imaging, detection of tumor and cancer. The full potential of THz band in radio communication systems can only be realized through continued research and development.
