Abstract

In the face of escalating cyber threats, this work offers an in-depth exploration of network intrusion detection, with a particular emphasis on identifying and mitigating advanced cyber threats in real-world network environments. Utilizing the KISTI-IDS2023-CDMC dataset, a complex and realistic platform for the development and evaluation of intrusion detection strategies, this work aims to contribute to the global effort to bolster cybersecurity measures. This research provides valuable insights and proposes innovative solutions that could potentially transform network security practices. The work is structured to initially offer a thorough analysis of the dataset, followed by the introduction of the proposed intrusion detection strategies, and concluding with an evaluation of these strategies in real-world scenarios.
